On reading a paragraph in the news-paper--that fire-works
were prepared to celebrate the peace at the expence of L
8000 sterl. to be fired off at the Duke of N--wc---e's house
in Liecester-Fields.
  Great P--th--m your praise would have sounded much louder,
  If you'd not been a little to late with your powder;
  But against the next war, you've prepar'd an excuse,
  The rockets have drain'd me; I've got none to use.
